Passwordless remote control
Update Date:2026-06-03 11:48:38
Awesun offers a brand-new remote verification method. In addition to the traditional static access password, Awesun has introduced “authorized password-free remote control”—users no longer need to remember or enter any passwords; they can complete secure verification simply by using an authorized controlling device, making remote control effortless.
1. Prerequisites
Both the Awesun client on the controlling computer and the controlled computer must be upgraded to V16.5 or later; the mobile device needs to have the Awesun app installed. Meanwhile, both the computer and the mobile phone must be logged into the same Awesun account to complete authorization and enable password-free remote control. (Click to download)
2. Operating Steps
2.1 Authorized Devices
2.1.1 Add Authorization
Operation path: [Awesun] -> [Settings] -> [Security]
(1) Log in to the Awesun client, go to the settings page, select the [Security] option, and enable [Password-Free Remote Control];
Note: You must select at least one security verification method; otherwise, you will not be able to remotely control the current device from the device list.
(2) After you select the checkbox, a dedicated QR code will automatically appear on the page. Open the Awesun app on your phone (you must be logged into the same account), and use the “Scan” feature to scan this QR code;
(3) After scanning the QR code with your phone, the “Password-Free Authorization” request page will appear. Tap “Agree and Save Authorization on This Device” to successfully enable password-free remote control.
2.1.1.1 Adding Authorization in Remote Control
(1) If the controlling end does not have passwordless remote control permissions when initiating a remote session, you can submit an authorization request to an authorized PC controlling end or mobile app.
(2) On the PC control end or on a mobile device during authorization, you can choose the authorization scope: all controlled devices or only the currently selected controlled device.
a) All controlled devices: Authorize all controlled devices currently saved with credentials on the current phone to another master device in a single operation. After authorization, the corresponding master device will obtain password‑free remote control permissions for these controlled devices, enabling direct password‑free remote control in subsequent sessions, and allowing further delegation of these password‑free permissions to a third master terminal.
b) Authorize only the currently controlled device: Grant password-free access permissions for the current controlled device only to other master control devices.
2.1.2 Management Authorization
Operation path: [Awesun] -> [Settings] -> [Security]
(1) Find and click "Master Authorization Management" in the "Security" interface to enter the permission management page;
(2) The page will list all the main control devices, including the device name, the last login time, and the number of secret-free controlled devices owned by the device (I. e., "secret-free controlled" information);
(3) If you need to withdraw the secret-free remote control authority of a master control device, you can directly click the [Empty] button behind the device and confirm the operation.
Note: After confirmation, the device will immediately lose its remote control authority. After that, when the device initiates remote control again, it will not be able to avoid secret remote control, but will need to re-apply for authorization from other authorized master control devices or manually enter the access password of the controlled device.
2.2 function demonstration
After the authorization is completed, let's demonstrate the effect:
Open the Awesun App on the authorized mobile phone just now, enter the device list, and find the controlled computer.
Click the "desktop control" button-no need to enter any password, directly into the remote desktop, the whole process in one go, the real realization of "a key remote control, secret-free direct".
3. Frequently Asked Questions
(1) How to synchronize the existing secret-free authorization to the new master device?
After receiving the application, the old master control device can select the following two synchronization methods:
Synchronize all controlled authorizations: authorize the secret-free permissions of all controlled devices saved on this machine to the new master device at one time.
Synchronize only the current controlled authorization: only the secret-free permission of the current controlled device is authorized to the new master control device, and other controlled devices will not be synchronized.
Note: After authorization is synchronized, the new master control equipment can directly control the corresponding controlled equipment without secret remote control in the equipment list, and there is no need to enter the password again.
(2) Why can't mobile phone APP receive the prompt of secret-free authorization application?
If another main control terminal sends an authorization application to the mobile phone, but the mobile phone does not receive any notification, please check in the following order:
Check the App version: Make sure that the Awesun App version on the mobile phone is 15.5.2 or above (the old version does not support the push of secret-free authorization application).
Check the message push settings:
① In the mobile phone system settings, confirm that the Awesun App is allowed to receive notifications (including banner, reminder, lock screen notification, etc.).
② In the Awesun App, enter "My" → "Settings" → "Message Notification" to ensure that "Authorization Application Reminder" is turned on.
Check the account login status: Make sure that the mobile phone and the main control terminal that initiated the application are logged in to the same Awesun account. Cross-account authorization requires the other party to initiate a remote control trigger application in the device list.
Check the network connection: The phone needs to maintain a stable network connection, otherwise it may be delayed or not receive the push.
(3) How to recover after clearing the secret-free authorization of a master control device?
If the [Empty] button is clicked to remove the secret-free permission of a master control device, the device needs to enter the access password of the controlled computer, or reapply for authorization, or the controlled device reauthorizes by reopening the secret-free access function.
